Empathy through Intimacy

This piece is an exploration of intimacy and vulnerability through the language of touch. The kind of closeness that speaks louder than words. I wanted the composition to feel almost weightless, with the background stripped away so nothing distracts from the emotional center. The brushwork is loose and expressive, letting the forms dissolve into one another, while the color palette stays minimal, just enough warmth in the skin to suggest life and closeness.

The figures are locked in an embrace, but the focus is not on their faces. Instead, it is on the tension and softness in their hands, the gentle pull at the hair, the curve of the back under light. It is an image of connection without words, a private moment captured as if the viewer has stumbled upon it quietly.

For me, this piece is about the way two people can become a single form when they are close enough, not just physically but emotionally.
